John Hyde founded Rampart in 1990 in order to leverage his experience representing banks as an attorney for the benefit of commercial borrowers in need of a financial strategist. John began his career as an attorney at the Manhattan law firm Chadbourne & Parke and then began representing banks in restructuring loans as an associate at the prominent Connecticut law firm, Schatz & Schatz, Ribicoff & Kotkin. He holds a JD from Tulane Law School and a BA from Colgate University.
John has served on Board of Directors of Printing Industry of Connecticut and Western Mass., an affiliate of The Printing Industries Association, Inc. He is active as a writer and speaker on graphics industry topics.

As a participant in NAPL's Business Advisory Network, John receives referrals from the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) to assist member printing companies in assessing strategic options and valuation; John is often asked by NAPL for his insights into trends involving mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and bankruptcy.
Bruce Perlstein joined Rampart in 1992 with financial and analysis skills to complement John's legal and commercial lending background. Bruce draws on his 25 years of experience in advising business owners on a broad range of financial matters including valuation, cash flow analysis, creditor negotiations, and management information systems. Bruce began his financial management career at SmithKline Beecham before serving as controller to a privately held company that was a client of Rampart, and subsequently establishing a consulting career.
Bruce holds a BS in economics and an MBA in finance. He has received Accredited Valuation Analyst certification from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).
Cathie Rabinove joined Rampart Associates in 2001 and has become a highly valued team member supporting client engagements with industry research, database expansion and maintenance along with administrative support. Cathie's experience prior to joining Rampart includes manager of research and administrative services for an executive search firm and office manager for a systems integration company. She attended Fairleigh Dickinson University with a focus on Business Administration.
